She has a small children's ministry in her community, but had no supplies to minister to them. When we arrived we gave her supplies and ideas to help out her ministry ! She was thrilled. She has a friend that owns a television station. The station is called Rayito De (Sunny Day.) After seeing me present the gospel using the surprise bag Sunday, she insisted that she do it on television. So, she asked dad to preach, me to sing and give my testimony, and she would dress in her clown suit and present the gospel using the surprise bag. The kids called in on the phone lines and several got saved OVER LIVE TELEVISION! Wow, how cool would that be if things like that happened in the States! Elizabeth is an amazing woman of God and I am grateful for the relationship I have made with her.

Two Sisters Reconcile

Our cell group started at 4PM with just a couple of ladies who have been attending the new church and one of them has been working on our team. We were joined by others as time went on. We did the first 6 questions on the lesson showing them how to use the Bible. During our time of prayer we focused on God’s great love for us and how He made the greatest sacrifice for us and that we should love one another. After the prayer, two of the women burst into tears and began hugging. We surrounded them prayers and then learned that they were sisters, living in the same village but have not spoken to each other for years. God’s love brought them to reconciliation.

Story by Joel Avey

Margarita

Let me introduce you to Margarita. Ron and Arnette Cratty are working with this church. Today Arnette was working with Jorge and they went to the community where Jorge grew up. He had an opportunity to share Christ with the people he once knew. One of the young women who he shared Christ with shared that this was the first time she had ever understood the gospel message. She had been deeply involved in Tarrot cards and other mystic activites. She stated when she accpted Christ she saw a bright light. She teared up and thanked the team for coming.
Then the team went to the home where he grew up. He explained to his family that he was a changed man. Jorge shared the evangecube and gospel message to his family. The family was in shock as this was not the Jorge they knew.

Please pray for his family as he continues to minister to them.

story by Arnette Cratty

BodeGa "Jennyffer"

Check out the sign in the picture above our heads...yes, it says BodeGa "Jennyffer." The mother, Sonia, saw my blonde hair walking down the refugee community, and motioned for us to come visit. She was so thrilled to see a North American. She and her friend came to greet me, then Sonia brought out her daughter. I said, Hola, Mi nombre es Jennifer. She was stunned and frantically spatted off some Spanish that even my translator didn't follow. She slowed down and began to tell me her daughter's name was Jennyffer and she named her Bodega (little store) after her. I saw the sign and just laughed. Jennifer is a very RARE Hispanic name. Anyway, she wanted to hear all about the evangi-cube. She and her friend both excepted Christ and wanted to be discipled IMMEDIATELY! Sonia promised to tell all of her customers about Jesus and her white friend, Jennifer. ; ) Glory A Dios!

Story by: Jennifer Neugent

Mary Fernanda

Let me tell you a little bit about my new friend, Fernanda-she is only one years old. Her mother Beatrice was the first person we led to the Lord in the village. I was apprehensive at firstm but after that my heart was on fire. This little girl was a sister of three, but one of them died at birth. This broke my heart, really. Her sister, Christina can see, but Fernanda is blind. My second to see Beatrice I had the opportunity to hold Fernanda. She would touch her hands to my face, and her little blind eyes would just light up with amazement. I felt like God was allowing her to see my face through her tiny hands. I long for people to see Jesus' love through MY hands, as Fernanda did in MY face.

Story by Christion Lynch

I didn't want to leave!

It's great in Pisco. Today I got to work on a church building with Peruvians and a group from England. Afterwards, I led the children in the cell group meeting. I told them how God created everything. Jennifer Neugent had 36 kids the first day of our ministry in Pisco. Thank God for these new materials. The children seemed to really enjoy the color pages, story about God's Creation, the game and the craft.
Because there were so many children, Jennifer's nerves kicked in using the suprize bag, but God used it just the same. We played a new version of "duck, duck, goose" based on the creation story. The kids really enjoyed watching the "fat missionary" run. I didn't know what they were saying until tonight when I was told they were saying "watch the fat man run."
After we completed this ministry, one of the children brought her pet monkey to greet missionary "Jenny". Suddenly the monkey decided to attack Papa Sam. I tried to abide by the rules of E3, and "NOT TOUCH THE ANIMALS," but as you can see in the picture, it was a little difficult.

story by Sam Neugent

We have arrived!

HOLA,
Our team arrived safe and sound in Pisco, Peru on Saturday afternoon, June 21. God's spirit was very real.
Today, Sunday, each team went their "mother" church to worship, train the nationals and begin the process of evangelizing the lost and discipling the saved.
Please remember to pray for us each day as we serve our Savior in this city that has had so much devistation from the earthquake.

story by Sam Neugent

Church leaders in Pisco

Above are some local pastors in Pisco.
